It has been great as a backup radio on my 36′Hunter sailboat. I can even use it from the bow to communicate to the helm station.
Now we can be in touch with everyone else here, so much easier than cell phones…our radio doesn’t lose signal~!
Easy to learn to use, even without the manual
A large easy to read display. A well thought out charger that lets you keep the radio and extra battery on charge at the same time. All this at a great price. No drawbacks I could find
I use this portable both on my boats and also on land. I am a retired law enforcement officer and I rely very “heavily” on my “350″
